ID Energy Group, an international leader in renewable energy, has partnered with Moeve to develop biomethane plants for green hydrogen production and to decarbonize industrial activities. The alliance will enable the development of a production capacity of up to 1 TWh per year, adding to the projects Moeve has already established with Kira Ventures, PreZero, and InproEner.
The production of up to 1 TWh of biomethane will represent 8% of the total target set by the PNIEC for 2030 and will allow the valorization of 3.1 million tons of annual livestock and agricultural waste, promoting European energy independence, the circular economy, and the economic development of rural areas.
Through this collaboration, ID Energy Group contributes its expertise in the origination and development of biomethane plants in Europe, while Moeve brings its industrial and energy commercialization knowledge. Together, the companies advance the production of this renewable gas, used both for green hydrogen and as a substitute for natural gas in industrial processes.

Adrien Souchet, Director of Biomethane at Moeve, states:
“With this new agreement, we continue to expand our ecosystem of partnerships to advance biomethane development, a key pillar of our Positive Motion strategy, combining complementary capabilities with ID Energy Group.”
For his part, Julio Espadas, Managing Director of ID Energy Group, highlights:
“Having Moeve as an industrial partner is an excellent opportunity to accelerate our expansion, combining their experience in the energy sector with our track record in biomethane projects across Europe.”
By the end of 2025, Moeve will have around ten biomethane projects processed, consolidating a portfolio that will complement electricity for green hydrogen production and industrial decarbonization for its clients. Additionally, the use of biomethane will significantly reduce CO₂ emissions from energy parks and chemical plants, contributing to sustainability goals.
In its firm commitment to a sustainable future, ID Energy Group drives biomethane and renewable energy projects, establishing itself as a key player in the energy transition, with one operational biomethane plant and more than 65 projects in various stages of development.
